Richard Dannatt 1st November 2016”; Profile Books 2016 1st ed/1st printing, 421pp., text generally in decent order albeit with slight browning to pages & an old erased pencil price & date visible to the top right hand corner of the half-title page, slight browning & staining to the page extremities at the very top, side & bottom, spine very slightly cocked & boards very slightly warped, very slight bumping & rubbing to board corners at the top – heavier to those at the bottom, slight bumping & rubbing to the top, bottom & sides of boards – noticeably heavier to the top & bottom of the spine including a dent to the rear top right hand corner, bumping to the rear bottom right hand corner & bumping to the left hand corners of the front, one bump/dent to the top of the front board, some bumping to spine edge on rear (rear also has some scratches & indentations & a small patch of damp-staining emanating from the inside of the rear of the dust jacket which has has one large red stain, also visible externally), in addition the jacket is rubbed & creased at top & bottom with scuffing to the corners & to the top & bottom of the spine, the front has a few marks & scratches, the rear noticeably more marks, scratches & indentations.On Lüneberg Heath in 1945, the German High Command surrendered to Field Marshall Montgomery.
